Birth of Alex

Birth of Alex

On October 24th, 2013 was is an important and euphoric day in my life. It was a normal day if my wife hadn’t been pregnant and we didn’t travel to two another cities to two different assignments. But, we sometimes haven’t control about our lives, absolutely. It was good for me because I had a marvelous gift in this time. My son was born in Campina Grande.
Firstly, my wife and I were living in Monteiro. She is pregnant, so she needed to go to the hospital for exams every week. Really, Monteiro hadn’t good hospitals, so we needed travel to Campina Grande to take exams. At the same time, I needed to take lessons at Federal University of Paraiba in Joao Pessoa. The distance between Monteiro to Campina Grande is 200 km and the distance between Campina Grande to Joao Pessoa was 120 km. Therefore, I needed to travel to Campina Grande to left my wife at clinic and then I continued my journey to Joao Pessoa to take a doctoral class.
Secondly, when I left my wife at medical clinic I traveled to Joao Pessoa. But, when I arrived at University I receive the advice by students that “No class today.” For this reason, immediately I went to Campina Grande to take my wife and came back to Monteiro. I was very tired when I called my wife to communicate the situation. During my trip to Campina Grande I received calls on my cellphone, but I couldn’t hear because my cellphone was on silence. Close to Campina Grande, I could be see it.
Thirdly, I called my wife and then nobody attended my call. I tried again and to my surprise a nurse had taken my wife’s cell phone. “Who is speaking with me, please?”I said, “His wife is in a hospital now. His son is coming, sir”, replied a nurse. Suddenly, I was very enthusiastic and worried at the same time. On the one hand, my son was coming, but on the other hand I heard my wife yelling and yelling. Really, I was in a difficulty and complex situation.
Finally, I arrived at the hospital and I heard my wife yelling again and entering in the elevator. I took her hands and told to her: “I love you. I am here with you.” After that, I entered in room moved my clothes putting a masque and then I was to the give birth room when my wife was there with the nurses and the doctor. At this time I was apprehensive and embarrassed when my wife discussed with the doctor. She didn’t want anesthesia. I felt me impotent until this situation have been solved. The doctor said to my wife, “Ok lady” and then, the hard work continued. It was almost three hours (p.m.) when little Alex was born. He cried and opened his eyes, I saw everything. When I put him in my arms I saw a liquid down like blood and I said nervously, “Nurse, please, something is wrong here”, she said me, “Oh gentleman, he makes a poopy.” “Oh my boy”, I said to him. And, the end of history.
